Choosing Your Favorite Girl Name Starting With L
If you like a longer name with a short everyday form, consider Lucille with Lucy, or Lillian with Lily. You may love both forms or discover that the shorter name is the one you want to use on its own.
Short spellings can still sound quite different. Liv and Lou each fit into one syllable, while Lia and Lola have two. Try saying each finalist with the middle and last names rather than choosing by letter count alone.
For joined names such as Laylamarie and Lilliangrace, decide whether you prefer one written name or separate first and middle names. Write the full combination, check the initials, and consider how you would introduce it. The form you enjoy using matters as much as the way it looks on a list.
