Baby Names on the Rise
Baby name trends change as new generations of parents discover different sounds, styles, and traditions.
Among rising boy names, Atlas, Archer, Weston, and Brooks offer distinctive choices, while Luca, Enzo, Emiliano, and Thiago reflect a wider range of naming traditions. Other names, including Elias, Silas, and Julian, have long histories but continue to appeal to modern parents.
For girls, nature-inspired names like Juniper and Iris appear alongside romantic favorites such as Eloise, Amara, Valentina, and Lucia. Names like Isla, Sienna, and Eliana also show how different naming styles can gain popularity at the same time.
How Do We Identify Rising Baby Names?
Our Rising Favorites collection is based on U.S. Social Security Administration baby name records from 1880 through 2025.
Each name has one continuous run in the top 100 lasting fewer than 30 years. That run is still active in 2025, and the name improved its ranking compared with 2024.
These names aren't necessarily new. Some have long histories but have only recently become regular top-100 favorites.
