Genevieve Padalecki

Genevieve Padalecki grew up in Colorado and studied acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After college, she moved into television work and landed the leading role of Kris Furillo, a young horse trainer with a troubled past, on the ABC Family drama Wildfire. The series ran four seasons, from 2005 to 2008.

In 2008 she joined The CW's Supernatural as Ruby, a demon who becomes an uneasy ally of Sam Winchester, during the show's fourth season. Her work on the series brought her together with actor Jared Padalecki; the two married in 2010 and later had three children. She largely stepped away from acting after the marriage to focus on family life.

Padalecki returned to television in 2021 in Walker, The CW's reimagining of Walker, Texas Ranger, playing Emily Walker, the late wife of Jared Padalecki's title character, in flashbacks and family memories. Her earlier roles on Wildfire and Supernatural remain the best known of her screen career.
