What Does the Name Trever Mean?
Trever is an English spelling variant of Trevor, a name of Welsh origin. It means "large settlement" or "great homestead." The "large/great" sense comes from the second element; the exact development of the compound into Trefor is not fully transparent, but the derivation from these Welsh elements is the customary explanation. Trever inherits its meaning from Trevor and has no separate etymology.
