The son of a physician, Jeff Goldblum grew up in a Jewish household and took to acting as a teenager. On television he starred in Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Detective Zach Nichols and hosted The World According to Jeff Goldblum. He also performs jazz piano with the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and released The Capitol Studios Sessions in 2018.
Goldblum was married to Geena Davis from 1987 to 1990. In 2014 he married Emilie Livingston, and they have two sons.
